This is Uma.

She needs your prayers, and your money too if you’ve got some to give.

Many thanks!

Identical!

I have a twin sister.

For all these years we’ve thought we were not identical.

Well, we finally got around to getting a test and settling the debate once and for all, and if we’re to believe all that crazy DNA science stuff, it seems we were wrong.

Waddya know, I’ve got a genetic duplicate.

I can guarantee that my posts will often only be about the pictures. I like taking pictures. You can click on it to make it bigger.

This is Ron mixing ‘Charlie Bartlett’, the movie I’m working on right now. It gives you a vague idea of the size of the mixing board. It’s HUGE.

I’ve just been invited to join a new networking site called VIRB.com, and let me tell you, it’s SO much better than MySpace. I’m hopeful it’ll gain a bit of ground. At least with my friends. Because I’m tired of MySpace. It’s really a terrible website.

You need an invitation to join VIRB, but I’ve got 15 of ‘em to give, so let me know if you want in. Come on – lets start the revolution!

The Volvos

I’ve been working on the westside for the past several months in a big ol’ office complex kinda place. The place is apparently not to capacity because about 1/2 of the parking structure is occupied by brand new Volvos. It’s strangely creepy.

I never thought about where dealers keep their cars. Now not only have I thought about it, but I also know the answer. So if you ever wanna start your career as a car thief specializing in Volvos, I can hook you up.

Obama LA

I went last night to the first meet up of ObamaLA, the Los Angeles grassroots organization working to get Barack Obama elected. There were well over 100 people there, probably closer to 200. And let me tell you, everyone is really excited about this guy. Myself included.

One of the biggest things I like about him is that he’s the only Democrat in the race who has been against the war in Iraq since the beginning. And not only are his politics in line with mine, but he’s charismatic and likeble, 2 things the Democrats have been lacking recently.

The speech he gave several months ago on faith in politics is amazing. You can check it out here

Ah, Hollywood

A friend of mine had a birthday BBQ in Griffith Park this past weekend.

As we’re cleaning up, a guy comes by who appears to be homeless. Either that or really down on his luck. He’s got a trash bag in his hand and is collecting cans and bottles from the trash bins.

“You guys in the film business?” he asks.
Hoping for the easy answer, a friend of mine replies “ah, no.”
“Well, I am. But when there’s no work I have to do stuff like this.”
“Yeah, it can be tough.”
“Well, at least I’ve got an agent,” says the HOMELESS GUY COLLECTING CANS.
“That’s one up on me!” says another friend of mine.

Yeah. The dude has an agent. And he really didn’t seem like he was bullshitting.
